Everyone wishes to be successful and do well in life but the lack of right guidance can be a deterrent. This highlights the importance of the correct guidance from the concerned experts of various domains. Therefore keeping this in mind the Career Guidance Cell at Ness Wadia College of Commerce (NWCC) has been organizing lecture series for the past 8 years. Herein, the STD XII students are informed about the various career options that could suit them the most. The Career Guidance Cell arranges the best speakers who provide insight about the career options available to them after 12th Commerce.
The Junior College arranged ‘Kalarang’ – a multivariety talent competition for the academic year 2018-19. It was held on 15th December, 2018 in the Neville Wadia Hall at 3.00 p.m. The inauguration was done at the hands of Vice Principal and Junior College In-charge Dr. Prakash Choudhary and Vice Principal, Junior College Ms Smita Kunde, by lighting the lamp. Anchor Pranitha welcomed the dignitaries, judges, staff members and students. Ms Aarti S. Mane , Teacher-co-ordinator of Kalarang competition, felicitated the dignitaries and made introductory remarks about the competition V- Principal Dr. Prakash Choudhary encouraged and appreciated the students in his motivational speech. V-Principal Ms Smita Kunde wished the students to give their best and also spoke about benefits of participating in such competitions. The competition was divided into the following categories.
The Junior college section organizes exhibition for the students to give them a platform to showcase their talent. The college conducts wide range of events and activities in the exhibition. The objective is to motivate the students to excel in both curricular and co-curricular activities. All the events organized give students a fun learning experience. A special cultural committee looks into various arrangements required to make the exhibition grand success.
Modern Education Society & Health Institution celebrated World Yoga Day in Ness Wadia College of Commerce. Shri Girish Bapat the cabinet minister for Food, Civil supplies and Consumer protection was invited as the chief guest. In his speech, the honourable minister explained the importance of yoga in our lives. The NSS students, teachers along with Principal, Dr Girija Shankar participated with enthusiasm and performed various ‘Asanas’ on Yoga Day. Dr. Pankaj Shimpi; I/c Junior College NSS Committee along with other members of the NSS Committee viz. Mr D. B. Lavhe, Mr Somnath Bhawari, Mr G. B. Choudhary, Ms Kavita Gawade, & Ms Hemlata Rane attended the Yoga session.
The Independence Day was celebrated in the college premises with the zeal and spirit befitting the occasion. NSS students sang patriotic songs. The Chief guest was Principal Dr. Girija Shankar. Vice Principal and I/c Junior College, Dr. P .N. Chaudhary, Vice – Principal Junior College, Ms S. Kunde and Supervisor Ms Sonia Iyengar participated in the Independence Day Programme.
Modern Education Society’s Ness Wadia College of Commerce, organized the Oath taking Ceremony on 1st September,2018 for the NSS students. The students of NSS and teachers took a pledge to save and conserve envornment in the presence of Principal Dr. Ms Girija Shankar, Vice Principal and I/c Junior College Dr .P. N. Chaudhary, Vice -Principal Junior College, Ms S. Kunde and Supervisor Ms Sonia Iyengar. Dr. Pankaj Shimpi; I/c Junior College NSS Committee along with other members of the NSS Committee viz. Mr D. B. Lavhe, Mr Somnath Bhawari, Mr G. B. Choudhary, Ms Kavita Gawade, & Ms Hemlata Rane attended the Oath taking session. Principal Dr. Girija Shankar and Vice-principal Junior College Ms S.S. Kunde explained the importance of NSS. Mr D. B. Lavhe concluded the programme by giving vote of thanks.
Modern Education Society’s Ness Wadia college of commerce, celebrated Teacher’s Day.Students expressed their gratitude and appreciation for the teachers.Vice Principal and I/c Junior College Dr .P. N. Chaudhary, Vice Principal Junior College, Ms S. Kunde gave their valuable guidance to all the present students. In an interactive session ‘Budh’, a short film based on women empowerment was screened in the presence of Dr. Chaudhary, and Mr Prashant Ingole, the director of the film. Modern Education Society’s Ness Wadia College of Commerce, celeberated the ‘Hindi Day’on 14th September 2018 at 10:00 a.m in the college. Debate competition , Poetry reading and Essay writing were conducted in the programme. A Cleanliness Drive in the college campus was conducted by NSS students for two weeks from 15th September 2018 to 2nd October 2018 The Cleanliness Drive was conducted to commemorate the birthday of the Father of the nation, Mahatma Gandhi .
